Your figures stay yours
Everything in your browser
Every calculation happens in your own browser. The figures you type don’t go to a server of ours or of anyone else.
What your browser remembers
So that you don’t lose anything, your browser remembers your last figures for each calculator and the scenarios you save yourself, in its own storage (localStorage) on this device. With ‘Forget everything on this device’ you delete that in one click. Your preferences (light or dark, Reading comfort) are kept separately.
A shared link
If you copy a link, your figures are inside the link itself, after the hash sign (#). A browser never sends that part of an address to the server. Whoever gets the link does see your figures, so only share it with people you trust.
Technical logs
Our hosting provider, like any web server, keeps short technical logs (such as IP address and time) to keep the site running safely. We don’t use them to track visitors.
Bureel Plus
If you connect Marge to Bureel Plus, your browser keeps a proof signed by Bureel (localStorage). It only says whether you have Plus, until when, and a pseudonym for Marge; never your email address. Marge checks it in your browser and sends nothing to a server. “Disconnect this device” or “Forget everything on this device” removes it.
